| what has happened since the last time a posted....
sad news... My grand uncle passed away. It was a long long battle with cancer and he is in a better place now. I wasn't too close with him. It was not until I talked to my grandma and heard the sadness in her voice before i realized how awful much he meant to our family.
christmas is right around the corner. the mall has been crazy busy, and it tough to be working sometimes because its just so busy you feel like you have no time to take a breather.
I've purchased much too many things from WS and PB, but most of it was for David. His new apartment is pretty much a blank slate. He has a bed, two dressers, a sectional, barstools for the counter, and his TV. all the things needed for a bachelor pad. He's been nice enough to give me a key, a parking space, and best of all, my very own code so i can access the garage, get in the doors of the building, etc. One closet and one dresser has been left completely empty for when I move in (date to be determined). 75% of the toiletries/items in the bathroom is already mine, but that's just cuz women need more stuff than men.
i've been getting fat at work. people keep bringing treats in. i cannt say no to a yummy sweet treat- cupcakes, peppermint bark, cookies, chocolate cake, caramel popcorn... all so delicious!!! But by the time i get home, i have no motivation to go to the gym what so ever. 8 hours on my feet does not make me want to power out on the treadmill.
i picked out a ring. its a cartier radiant cut 1895 setting. I've discovered after several trial and errors that a round diamond is not for me. Its beautiful, shiny, and still the most sparkly, but when it makes its way onto my finger, it does not speak to me in any way. I always think "pretty, but eh...." But when i tried on the radiant cut... it was WOW! Dave said i look totally different. My expression went from "ooo shiny.... to I WANT I WANT!!!"

| Rain rain go away.... its so damn cold!!! I have to leave for work in an hour, so its pointless to turn on the heater.
Jacob's 1st birthday party was just too cute! It was nice to see Julie's parents with him, especially her dad. He was always described to me as stoic but when he is with Jacob I can see how happy he is to dote on his grandson.
I need to go christmas shopping... I only bought one thing that was NOT for myself. Bad bad me...
Went to Harry Winston to try on the millgrain ring... :( the band is too thick and they cant make it any smaller. Went to Cartier again and found a ring that i LOVE. Dave says the look on my face was totally different. All the other rings my expression was "pretty ring, but eh" but on this one it was "i want i want i want!!" The winner is a radiant cut diamond. The round is so beautiful and shiny but when i try it on, it says nothing to me. The cushion I could not committ to for whatever reason. So finally that is done and over with. Next step is figuring out with work when I'm leaving/transfering and how I can do so without needing to be re-hired since I'll be gone in Taiwan for a month. And if I'm going to move in with Dave. Everything seems to be movig so fast... I have an interesting year ahead of me.

| some updates:
David moved down on saturday to his cousin's place in northridge. he's crashing there until next weekend, when he will fly back up to the bay area and pack everything in a uhaul so he can move into his new apartment that is a 2 minute walk from his work.
the holiday season has begun, and that means work is busy and hectic, but nice since it makes the day go by fast. sometimes it gets crazy, and that is when things are not so nice. :P
julie is expecting a new baby BOY!!! how fun is that?!?!
and finally, the bad news. our precious little tasha passed away last night. 17 and 2 months... it was time. we are all devastated, but we hope that her and her old pal candy are playing together again.

| at david's place for the weekend. last night was an eating extravaganza! a bunch of his friends met up with us at the buckhorn in winters, ca and we ordered up some good red meat! my new york strip was great, the prime rib david got was perfection, and even the vegatables were yummy!
tonight we had dinner with david's parents and his grandma. we really do eat much too well when we are together.
oh! here's the good news. david got himself a job in studio city! he starts the monday after thanksgiving, and he will be moving down to socal! i am oh so happy that he is going to be much closer to me. studio city is an hours drive away but thats much better than six! happy happy me indeed.

| Here are my front runner rings.... both from Haryy Winston. Poor poor david... i never wore rings in my life, and originally didnt even really want one and would have totally chosen to opt out and instead take an amazing vacation to japan. now i spend a lot of time just browsing online and trying to figure out what in the world i like and dont. really thought, its just his own fault cuz he was the one that told me to just look and try. that and he got me a practice ring.
@ first sight milgrain.
cushion cut micro pave ring. yes, i know this rock is just so damn big, but i think the only way the center stone will stand out againt all those micro pave diamonds is to be almost obnoxiously big. :P
